European Digital Deal is a three-year investigation, co-funded by Creative Europe, into how the accelerated yet at times unconsidered adoption of new technologies – such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, blockchain and algorithmic processing – can alter or undermine democratic processes. The project’s advisors, who come from the fields of engineering related to new technologies, education and journalism, will discuss the goals and possible impacts of new technologies on the shape of democracy, focusing on how the city of Braga contributes to this broader debate.
