Pedro Gossler (b. 1993, Brazil) is an interdisciplinary artist whose practice encompasses photography, video, and animation. His work explores memory and the archive, examining how digital cultures reshape the ways in which stories are recorded, transmitted, and reconstructed. Through visual strategies and layered narratives, he examines the instability of truth in an increasingly mediated world.

“Fanfictional Politics” draws on online conspiracy theories and so-called “objective facts” to reveal how political narratives are constructed and manipulated through opinion, ambition and fragments of truth. Blurring the boundaries between fiction and reality, the work reflects a climate of widespread distrust toward the media, where the distinctions between good and evil, right and left, human and inhuman begin to dissolve. In this ever-changing landscape, the work evokes a metaphysical desert where meaning becomes unstable, inviting reflection on the unsettling absurdity of what is presented as fact.
