In “BB — Born to Bloom” (2025), Sahin continues her research on the intersection of war and nature. She examines how nature becomes not only a stage for armed conflict but also a tool of military strategy: landscapes turn into barriers, natural resources become causes of war, and forests serve as camouflage. At the same time, nature carries a collective identity, making it a target of psychological warfare. In this body of work, Sahin brings together two historically connected geographies—Switzerland and Kurdistan. Through bold, almost poster-like images, she reveals contrasting yet entangled realities: the Swiss Alps appear as a militarized terrain marked by bunkers and training grounds, while the Kurdish mountain ranges emerge as a site of life, cultural heritage, and long-awaited freedom.
